In conjunction with the Home Educators Convention, MHEEC is pleased to offer an incredible 2-day conference for children ages 7-18. Communicators for Christ, a group of widely respected public speaking coaches, encourages and trains students to use communication to share the hope that we, as Christians, have in a hopeless world. To that end, CFC offers public speaking and debate conferences, workshops, and summer camps, as well as a Chapter Program, recognition, leadership training and curriculum. The CFC team will be teaching and inspiring our children. Some interns have testimonies of not being able to speak at all just a couple of years ago when their moms made them attend a class or conference. Now they are compelling speakers with a passion for coaching other cultural communicators.

Among many and diverse opportunities, Communicators for Christ helps both beginning and seasoned forensics competitors more fully develop and fine tune their skills. A dual emphasis on both the value of competition and the greater purpose of communication distinguishes Communicators for Christ. The registration cost for such a tremendous 2-day conference generally runs $135. However we are pleased to offer a special rate of only $29 for children with at least one parent attending the convention! This is an incredible opportunity so register soon as space is limited.

That said, we realize some may choose to have their children attend the adult conference with them.

Due to insurance and space limitations, all children attending the convention with parents are required to register. The registering fee for ages under 13 is $11, ages 13+ is $21 on or before April 6th*. See the FAQ page for the prices after April 6th.

We ask that for these children, those under the age of 13 be under the supervision of a parent at all times.

As our workshops are being recorded and, in order to preserve the quality of the recording, parents with children are asked to sit near the exit so that you can step out immediately.

MHEEC is pleased to provide childcare alternatives, so that parents can focus their attentions on the convention’s speakers and vendors. Great effort has been made to find childcare providers who have previous experience, and have had background checks. A pool of several youth and adult workers from area churches are being secured to provide a safe, caring environment for your little ones. ALL proceeds will benefit these diligent workers who are raising funds for Christian mission trips this summer. See below for available sessions and fees.
